Alex was approached by the Kings County Historical and Archival Society to bring to life their script for an unofficial Heritage Minute about the beautiful Confederation Quilt – a piece stitched together by dressmaker Fannie Parlee with fabrics from dresses she made for the Confederation Conferences’ galas and balls. Alex was the producer, director, cinematographer, editor, and narrator, and Shauna was the scrip supervisor. This short film was filmed in Hampton, New Brunswick, using local settings, actors, and other resources. The quilt, which is over 150 years old, can be viewed at the Kings County Museum in Hampton.
